TOWARD
THE FUTURE
Teatown is beginning a bold transformation that will carry our mission forward for generations.
This once-in-a-generation initiative includes a new Education Center, a fully renovated Nature Center, and campus-wide sustainability upgrades—investments that will strengthen Teatown’s mission of conservation and education for decades to come.
Focus 01
A renovated Nature Center that meets modern efficiency standards
Revitalizing the heart of Teatown
The Nature Center will become a welcoming hub for visitors, with sustainable systems such as geothermal heating and high-efficiency heat pumps.
Focus 02
Opening doors to discovery with a new Education Center
Inspiring future environmental leaders
The new Education Center and rooftop garden will offer immersive experiences indoors and out, with accessible classrooms and direct bus access from Blinn Road.
Focus 03
A greener, more accessible, pedestrian-only campus
Expanding impact, not capacity
We’re redesigning our campus to improve access, learning, and ecological health, with ADA-accessible paths, nature play areas, enhanced animal habitats, rain gardens, and native plantings.
Replacing blacktop with greenways
The parking lot beside the Nature Center will become a native meadow with accessible walkways, restoring nature to the heart of campus.
Site plan
Our renovated site plan prioritizes green space, accessibility, and safety to support inclusive access to nature and lifelong environmental learning.
Teatown is one of the Hudson Valley’s most cherished community resources. This project ensures we can continue to inspire future generations of environmental stewards while creating a more welcoming campus for everyone.
